E-AC4- The Electronic AC4 Declaration

After the European project EMCS (Excise Movement and Control System), the Belgian declaration AC4 will also move to electronic communication by webservices. Currently, the tax declaration AC4 is printed on a fixed form to be sent to the tax authority. After this, the payment of the excises is performed by bank transaction.

The electronic declaration will be mandatory as of the 1st of October 2012. The authorized companies in Belgium can choose between a manual declaration on the PLDA portal or use the platform based on certified data transfer with the authorities. To assure a fully automated process for our customers, Drink-IT provided a new e-AC4 interface to declare all beverage taxes in Belgium. The solution has been rolled out to 12 Belgian customers.
