The system, based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV, integrates all processes of traditional brewing into one system and thus helps to reduce the complexities related to export. Drink-IT is used by companies in the beverage industry all over the world. Qurius announced its partnership with NORRIQ which comprises all German sales of this modular software suite and related services.

The Bavarian State Brewery Weihenstephan is the oldest existing brewery in the world. Founded more than a thousand years ago as a monastery brewery, the company is now run as a direct operation of the State of Bavaria according to private sector standards. Weihenstephan beers are famous both nationally and internationally and are sold in 43 countries across the globe. Until now, Weihenstephan had been using a best-of-breed product to map business processes within the company. It was, however, becoming increasingly clear that this had reached its limits.

To secure long-term business growth, Weihenstephan chose to implement the integrated ERP solution Drink-IT. The brewery was convinced by this software’s workflow-oriented mapping of all business processes within one system, as well as its intuitive operation and the system’s international focus. With Drink-IT, Weihenstephan will now benefit from an all-in-one solution that helps to achieve significant improvements and tremendous transparency in all business sectors - from production and inventory management to sales and finance. This system puts Weihenstephan in a very comfortable position in terms of being better able to comply with complex legislation on batch traceability and tax regulation, both nationally and internationally. In addition, deposits, discounts and transportation can all be monitored consistently at the touch of a button. In the area of production and quality management, Drink-IT enables efficient management from purchasing raw materials to packaging the final product.

‘There are several ERP systems on the market, but it was only Drink-IT that impressed us right away. This solution satisfies the complex demands of a modern brewery like no other,’ says Professor Josef Schrädler, director of the Bavarian State Brewery Weihenstephan. ‘The implementation of this software means we are able to increase our efficiency enormously and thus benefit from significant savings in terms of both time and cost.’
